Xplore

Xplore (USA, founded 2017) is building versatile space probes and spacecraft for a variety of missions, from Earth orbit to deep space. The company’s Xcraft is a standardized satellite platform intended to be configurable for different missions – whether observing Earth, the Moon, or traveling to Venus, Mars, and beyond. Xplore aims to offer “space as a service,” providing end-to-end mission design, spacecraft, and operations so customers (researchers, agencies, or companies) can send instruments to space without developing a spacecraft from scratch. The Xcraft design includes high-performance computing and autonomous operations to handle diverse mission profiles. Xplore has received contracts from the US Air Force and NASA for early missions, including a planned space weather monitoring satellite. By developing a do-it-all space vehicle, Xplore seeks to streamline the process of conducting interplanetary and Earth-orbit missions on a commercial basis.
