Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Luxembourg, Space Cargo Unlimited (SCU) provides reusable orbital laboratory services. Its flagship product, the REV1 space vehicle, is a pressurized, returnable lab designed for microgravity experiments and manufacturing. REV1 can stay docked in low Earth orbit for months, hosting biotech, agriculture, or materials science payloads, then re-enter Earth’s atmosphere with a heat shield for recovery. SCU has conducted space experiments on the ISS and on suborbital flights, and collaborates with Thales Alenia Space on REV1’s development. With around 15 employees, the company aims to commercialize space-based manufacturing by offering turn-key space research missions and frequent payload returns.
