Scout Space

Scout Space (USA, founded 2019) develops space situational awareness (SSA) technology and autonomous sensing systems for satellites. The company’s Scout Vision system is a payload that can be mounted on satellites to visually monitor other objects in orbit, providing data for collision avoidance and space traffic management. Scout is also working on ground-based and on-orbit data platforms to catalog objects in space and predict their trajectories. In 2021, the company launched an SSA payload demonstration on a satellite to validate its sensing and data-processing capabilities. By enabling satellites to perceive and interpret their surroundings, Scout Space aims to make operations in increasingly crowded orbits safer and more efficient.
