Founded in 2017 and based in Mumbai, Manastu Space Technologies Pvt Ltd focuses on space safety and sustainability. It is developing the Vyom series of 'green propulsion' thrusters (using non-toxic fuel and catalysts) to provide affordable alternatives to traditional satellite propulsion. These thrusters are designed for satellite station-keeping, collision avoidance and end-of-life deorbiting. Manastu Space also develops in-orbit servicing technologies such as refueling and debris mitigation. In late 2024, the company demonstrated its 2U-scale green thruster on India’s PSLV POEM-04 mission. Backed by funding rounds led by Capital-A and others, Manastu has grown its team to around 90 engineers. Its clients include Indian defense agencies (DRDO, iDEX) and it is working with global satellite OEMs and constellation operators for its sustainable propulsion solutions.
