Stoke Space

Stoke Space, founded in 2019 and based in Kent, Washington, is building a fully reusable orbital rocket designed for daily launch capability. The company’s launch vehicle features a reusable first stage and a pioneering second stage that uses a ring of throttleable engines and an integrated heat shield to survive re-entry and land. Stoke was founded by former Blue Origin and SpaceX engineers to drastically reduce launch turnaround times and costs through complete hardware reuse. The company, now at around 300 employees, has successfully test-fired its innovative engines and performed a low-altitude flight of its second stage prototype in 2023. Stoke Space is targeting its first orbital launch in the near future, with the goal of providing reliable, high-cadence launch services for small satellites.
