About

ICEYE, founded in 2014 in Finland, pioneered the use of small satellites for radar Earth observation. Spun out of Aalto University, ICEYE built the world’s first microsatellite under 100 kg carrying a synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) and launched it in 2018. Today the company operates the largest SAR satellite constellation, with dozens of spacecraft delivering all-weather, day-night imagery of any location on Earth within hours. ICEYE has expanded globally (with offices in Europe and the US) and has over 700 employees. Its data supports applications from disaster response and insurance to maritime surveillance, and ICEYE also provides dedicated SAR satellites to select customers.
